My Current Hair Regimen

Hey girls! It is sleeting/snowing outside quite heavily today, so I might just add fifty different blogs today! Lol! Speaking of the harsh winter weather, it definitely takes a toll on natural hair. Especially if you wear it "out" , or "in its natural texture". I love my wash n go's in the warmer months, but they dont fly in the winter. First of all, nobody wants to leave the house with a wet head. And secondly, the cold air dries out those precious strands something terrible! Now I heard this from people who went natural before me. But just like with alot of other things, I had to try it for myself. I figured if I just moisturized enough then it would work. Well, it was okay, but I felt like my hair was just vulnerable. And I wanted to make sure my hair was growing healthily. So I started doing "two-strand twists" on wash/"cowash"/Deep treatment days with a moisturizing hair butter.(co-washing is washing your hair with conditioner only, instead of shampoo. While you have conditioner in your hair, this is the best time to detangle with a wide tooth comb. Then always rinse with cool water to seal the cuticles. It works yall! I will discuss more about this on a later post). I am also oiling my scalp and ends every night before bed. I then put on a satin bonnet or scarf. I wear these twists for about 4-5 days and then untwist for a beautiful "twistout" look! (Most times when I go out with my hair twisted, I pin them up into a cute style, or wear a cute beanie hat)
*I will be going into more detail about the specific products that I use and love later on either today or tomorrow*
